Overview

It is mainly situated in the Himalayas, but also includes parts of the Indo-Gangetic Plain. It borders the Tibet Autonomous Region of China to the north, and India in the south, east, and west, while it is narrowly separated from Bangladesh by the Siliguri Corridor, and from Bhutan by the Indian state of Sikkim.

Nepal is a land-locked country nestled in the foothills of the Himalayas. It occupies an area from 26 ° 20′ to 30* 10′ north latitude and 800 15′ to 88 ° 19′ east longitude. It shares its northern border with the Tibetan region of the People’s Republic of China, and its eastern, southern and western borders with India.
